A medium sized bush/tree a with large yellow pom-pom flowers that will attract birds and bees. The alien like flowers burst out of the the star shaped buds that adorn the tree prior to flowering. After flowering, medieval mace-head shaped nuts weigh down the branches. These (along with the spider shaped pre-flower buds) make for an excellent wreath or craft items.
Will tolerate most soil but likes well draining sandy soils they most. Very Drought tolerant and hardy. Great for an area that nothing will grow in. Though it will need full sun and care when young.
Best used as a feature or screening tree, wind break or just habitat for birds. Flowering generally occurs in late autumn to winter
Will germinate readily without treatments, just be sure to use native soils only. Evergreen tree.
