Loves deep sandy soil and will thrive in coastal conditions.
The plant is perfect for smaller gardens and can be kept to .5m to 4 m high. Grows roughly 3-5m wide.
The flowers are typically 10-15cm long and 4-8cm wide. Excellent for bouquets or other arrangements as they tend to grow straight up.
Pods make a lovely decoration too.
Every individual seed is hand harvested (very painstakingly lol)
When germinating use a mix of 70/20/10
70% low phosphorus soil (Aussie native soil. For my Australian customers bunnings sells this)
20% Coarse river sand or propagation sand
10% Vermiculite.
If you don’t have access to all this sandy loam soil with NO added fertiliser will suffice.
