Lilac peony poppy papaver paeoniflorum
Very attractive, large, pom-pom shaped fluffy blooms.
This variety is an early bloomer and will often be the first flowers in early spring coaxing the bees over to your garden. And oh, do the bees LOVE swimming around in them! So they are perfect to pair with veg or fruit that need pollinating in early spring. The plants are stocky and usually multi headed and will give you at-least two flushes.
These are some of my personal favorites. The original variety that got me into growing poppies and other seeds 😊
Utilize them for everything from seed production or just to stare at!
