$6.50

Muntrie

Emu Apple

Kunzea Pomifera

This was the first bush tucker plant that I was shown as a child in my home town of goolwa by Ngarrindjeri elder Archie Kartinyeri, who is dearly missed.

A drought tolerant ground creeper that thrives in sandy soil and coastal environments.

When The plants are larger enough it will produce 1000s of cranberry or blueberry sized fruits in the summer, usually in a cluster that will darken to a dark maroon when ripe depending of sun exposure, the soil, temp and rain fall.

It will need full sun and a large area to grow in.

The flavour is sweet, like apples and slightly tart with a hint eucalyptus or pine. Perfect picked straight from the vine and eaten raw or dried and stored for later. Ive also heard they can be cooked but I have not tried this

The seeds do take several weeks ro germinate so be patient and keep them misted

Good for soil erosion problems and will also feed local bird life. Their flowers are a bee attractant also

You will receive 30 seeds
