The flavour, personally, is comparable to kiwi, apple sauce, aniseed, pear, eucalypt and quince paste.
Fruit must be very ripe, with a squishy texture of a ripe kiwi. Otherwise they will be terribley bitter and astringent
Is a good choice for an ornamental too! produces petite little flowers of a violet-white colour.
