Ruby Salt Bush Enchylaena tomentosa Australian bush tucker x10 seeds
A sweet treat!
These low-lying shrubs that grow on the south coast of Australia produce small berries that can range from red, pink, yellow and orange.
The flavour is very sweet and slightly astringent, personally id say similar to a pomegranate. An autumn-early winter fruiting berry. The seeds strike easily in sand and will reach fruiting maturity in under a year. although small the berries are prolific and before long you will have handfuls of the sweet, crunchy jewels. The plump leaves of the plant can also be eaten. Very drought tolerant as they grow in sandy soil very close to the coast, I wouldn’t recommend anything other though a sandy native soil mix to grow them in. Eucalyptus mulch on top is perfect too. Be sure not to use anything will artificial fertilizer as natives a sensitive to phosphorus.
grow in tree pots/ forestry tubes while young and keep moist.
you will receive 10 fresh seeds of varied colours
